The institute successfully
completed its first workshop on “HAZARD MONITORING IN
MINES VIS-Ȃ-VIS RECOMMENDATIONS OF 10th SAFETY CONFERENCE”
from 4th to 5th May 2010. The participants of this
workshop were junior executives from Western Coal Fields
limited (WCL), Manganese Ore India Limited (MOIL) and
Mineral exploration Corporation Limited (MECL). Seventeen
executives working in different mines participated in this
workshop. The Chief Guest for this workshop was Shri K.J.
Singh CMD MOIL. Mr. B. K. Lama Director of Mine Safety,
Electrical, Director General of Mine Safety Western Zone,
Nagpur and Ms. Ingrid Christensen Senior Specialist,
Occupational Health and Safety, ILO South East Asia
Region, New Delhi were the Guest of Honour for this
workshop. Dr. J. Mukhopadhyay, Director JNARDDC was
special invitee to this function. The other distinguished
guests included were Shri. Nageswar Rao, Director Mine
Safety, Shri M.D. Sorathiya, General Manager (Safety) &
CVO, Shri D. B. Naik, Director Mine safety, Mechanical and
Shri B. K. Sinha, Regional Controller of Mines, Indian
Bureau of Mines. |
